The Motorola Edge (2022) has an overall score of 84.7, which is a bit better than LG V50 ThinQ's 83.7 global score. The Motorola Edge (2022) is a much newer phone, and it is also just a bit thinner and just a little lighter than LG V50 ThinQ. Both phones in this comparison come with Android OS, but Motorola Edge (2022) has the newer 12 version while LG V50 ThinQ has Android 10.
The LG V50 ThinQ features a slightly better looking screen than Motorola Edge (2022), because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a better 1440 x 3120 resolution and a better number of pixels per inch in the display. The LG V50 ThinQ counts with a little faster CPU than Motorola Edge (2022). They have 8 cpu cores and the same RAM memory amount.

If you prefer to save some dollars, you can buy the LG V50 ThinQ, giving up some specs and features, but you'll get the most out of your budget.
