These devices use Android OS (operating system), but LG V50 ThinQ has a more recent 10 version while Galaxy S4 has Android 4.4, providing some nice extra features and a performance increase.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 counts with a little more vivid display than LG V50 ThinQ, although it has a way smaller display, a just a little lower display pixel density and a lot lower resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. LG V50 ThinQ has a bit better CPU than Galaxy S4, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics processing unit, it also counts with a larger amount of RAM memory and a higher number of cores (and faster).

The LG V50 ThinQ takes better photos and videos than Galaxy S4, because although it has a lesser mega pixels back-facing camera, it also counts with a lot better (4K) video quality, a lot bigger aperture to capture better images and videos in low-light environments and a bigger sensor capturing more light and vivid colors.

The LG V50 ThinQ has a lot bigger storage to store more apps and games than Galaxy S4, because it has a slot for an SD memory card that allows a maximum of 1,95 TB and 128 GB internal memory. LG V50 ThinQ features a much better battery performance than Samsung Galaxy S4, because it has a 54 percent bigger battery size.

Although LG V50 ThinQ is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Galaxy S4, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Galaxy S4. So if you want that extra features, you can buy the LG V50 ThinQ, otherwise you can save some dollars and buy the Galaxy S4, giving up some features and specifications.
