Comparison review

The Xperia 5 II is a little bit better than the LG V50 ThinQ, getting a general score of 87.2 against 83.7. Xperia 5 II is a newer phone, and it is also somewhat lighter and a little bit thinner than the LG V50 ThinQ. Xperia 5 II counts with a CPU that is very similar to the processor in LG V50 ThinQ, and although the Xperia 5 II has more RAM, they both have the same number of cores.

LG V50 ThinQ has a bit more vivid display than Xperia 5 II, because it has a little bit better display pixel density, a little bigger display and a better resolution of 1440 x 3120 pixels. The LG V50 ThinQ features a better memory capacity to install applications and games than Sony Xperia 5 II, and although they both have the same internal storage capacity, the LG V50 ThinQ also has a slot for an external memory card that admits up to 1,95 TB.

Sony Xperia 5 II has a bit better camera than LG V50 ThinQ, because although it has a smaller aperture which is worse for low light photos, and they both have a 12 mega pixels resolution back facing camera and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the Sony Xperia 5 II also counts with faster video frame rates and a way bigger sensor providing a way higher image quality.

Xperia 5 II has a battery performance that is very similar to the battery performance in LG V50 ThinQ.

Although Xperia 5 II is a better device, it costs a lot more money than LG V50 ThinQ, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the LG V50 ThinQ. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the Xperia 5 II, but if you don't you can save some money and buy the LG V50 ThinQ, resigning some features and specs.
