Comparison review
The LG Velvet is just a bit better than the Google Pixel 2, with an 87.1 score against 81.6. The LG Velvet construction has the same thickness than the Google Pixel 2, but it is notably heavier. The Google Pixel 2 counts with a bit more vivid display than LG Velvet, because although it has a little bit lower resolution of 1080 x 1920px and a way smaller screen, it also counts with a just a bit higher amount of pixels in each screen inch.
The LG Velvet counts with a bit better CPU than Google Pixel 2, and although they both have the same number of cores, the LG Velvet also has a greater amount of RAM. LG Velvet has a superior memory to install games and applications than Google Pixel 2, and although they both have equal 128 GB internal storage capacity, the LG Velvet also has an external memory card slot that holds a maximum of 1,95 TB.
LG Velvet takes much clearer photographs and videos than Google Pixel 2, and although they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, the same camera aperture and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the LG Velvet also has a much larger back-facing camera sensor providing a much better image quality and a camera with a lot higher 48 mega-pixels resolution.
The LG Velvet features a superior battery performance than Google Pixel 2, because it has 4300mAh of battery capacity instead of 2700mAh.
Although LG Velvet is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Google Pixel 2, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Google Pixel 2. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can buy Google Pixel 2, letting go a couple features, but you'll get the most out of your money.
