The LG Velvet is a bit better than the Sony Xperia 5, having a overall score of 87.1 against 81. LG Velvet's body is just a little bit heavier but just a little thinner than the Sony Xperia 5, and both of them were released with only 8 months difference. Sony Xperia 5 counts with a bit superior processing unit than LG Velvet. They have the same RAM amount and the same number of cores.
Sony Xperia 5 counts with a slightly better looking display than LG Velvet, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a quite better resolution of 1080 x 2520px and a bit more pixels per screen inch. LG Velvet features a very superior memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Xperia 5, and although they both have equal 128 GB internal memory capacity, the LG Velvet also has a slot for SD memory cards that holds a maximum of 1,95 TB.
