Microsoft Surface Duo 2 has a score of 85.3, which is a bit better than the LG V30's 79.1 global score. The Microsoft Surface Duo 2 body is way newer and thinner than the LG V30's, although it's notably heavier. The Microsoft Surface Duo 2 counts with a little sharper display than LG V30, because although it has much lesser pixels per inch in the screen, it also counts with a slightly higher resolution of 1892 x 2688 pixels and a much bigger display.
LG V30 counts with a much greater memory capacity to install games and applications than Microsoft Surface Duo 2, because although it has only 64 GB internal storage, it also counts with a slot for external memory cards that supports up to 1,95 TB. Microsoft Surface Duo 2 has a bit more powerful CPU than LG V30, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Microsoft Surface Duo 2 also has a larger amount of RAM memory.
The LG V30 and Microsoft Surface Duo 2 both have really similar cameras, because although the LG V30 has slower 30 fps video frame rates, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, it also counts with a much better resolution back facing camera and a larger aperture to capture better photography in low-light environments.

If you prefer to save some money, you can get LG V30, giving up a few features and specifications, but you'll get the most out of your savings.
