Samsung Galaxy Note9 has a global score of 87.1, which is much better than the Microsoft Surface Duo's global score of 78.8. Samsung Galaxy Note9 is an extremely older and thicker cellphone than the Microsoft Surface Duo, but Samsung was able to build it somewhat lighter anyway. Samsung Galaxy Note9 features a bit sharper screen than Microsoft Surface Duo, because although it has a much smaller display and a bit worse resolution of 1440 x 2960, it also counts with a better pixel density.

Galaxy Note9 features a much better memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Microsoft Surface Duo, and although they both have equal 128 GB internal storage, the Galaxy Note9 also has a SD card slot that holds up to 512 GB. The Galaxy Note9 and Microsoft Surface Duo both have similar processing units, both have a 6 GB RAM memory and the same number of cores.

The Galaxy Note9 counts with a bit longer battery performance than Microsoft Surface Duo, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity against 3577mAh. Galaxy Note9 shoots much clearer videos and photos than Microsoft Surface Duo, and although they both have the same 60 fps video frame rates and the same video resolution, the Galaxy Note9 also has a much bigger aperture and a back-facing camera with more megapixels.

Even being the best phone of the ones in this comparison, Galaxy Note9 is also a bargain compared to the other devices.
