Samsung Captivate has an overall score of 57.2, which is just a bit better than Motorola Droid X's 53.7 general score. Both of these phones come with the same Android 2.3 OS. Samsung Captivate is a lighter device than the Motorola Droid X, but they are equally thin. The Samsung Captivate counts with a little bit better processing power than Motorola Droid X, and although they both have 1 CPU cores and a 512 MB RAM memory, the Samsung Captivate also has an extra graphics processing unit.

Samsung Captivate counts with a little bit better looking screen than Motorola Droid X, because although it has a little worse resolution of 800 x 480 and a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a little greater screen density. The Samsung Captivate has a superior memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Motorola Droid X, and although they both have an external memory card slot that admits up to 32 GB, the Samsung Captivate also has 16 GB internal storage.

The Motorola Droid X has a bit better camera than Samsung Captivate, and although they both have the same video definition, the Motorola Droid X also has a way better resolution back-facing camera and better 30 frames per second video frame rate. Motorola Droid X features just a little better battery life than Samsung Captivate, because it has a 3% bigger battery capacity.

Despite of being the best phone in this comparison, the Samsung Captivate is also cheaper than the other phone.
