Even though the Motorola Edge 50 and Motorola Edge (2024) were released with only a few months difference, Motorola Edge 50's body is just a little bit heavier but a little thinner. Both phones in this review come with the same Android 14 OS, so you shouldn't see any difference in that aspect.
Motorola Edge 50 counts with a processor that's just as good as the Motorola Edge (2024) one, they have 8 GB of RAM memory and 8 processing cores. Motorola Edge 50 has a little bit better looking display than Motorola Edge (2024), because it has a quite better pixels amount in each inch in the display, a little more screen brightness, a slightly higher resolution of 1220 x 2712 pixels and a quite bigger display.
The Motorola Edge 50 shoots much better photographs and videos than Motorola Edge (2024), although it has a tinier sensor offering a lower image quality, they both have the same video frame rates, a 50 megapixels resolution back-facing camera, a same size diafragm aperture and the same video resolution.
The Motorola Edge 50's storage to install games and applications is very similar to the Motorola Edge (2024) one, both of them have equal internal storage capacity. Motorola Edge 50 and Motorola Edge (2024) both feature extremely similar batteries performance.
