Despite being the best phone in this review, the Sony Xperia 5 III design is older, somewhat thicker and just a bit heavier than the Motorola Edge 30. These phones use Android OS, but Sony Xperia 5 III has an older 11 version and Motorola Edge 30 has Android 12 version.
Sony Xperia 5 III has a brighter screen than Motorola Edge 30, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a slightly better resolution of 1080 x 2520 pixels and a little better display pixel density. Xperia 5 III features a very superior storage capacity to install games and applications than Motorola Edge 30, because it has a slot for an SD memory card that holds a maximum of 1 TB and 128 GB more internal storage capacity.
The Xperia 5 III features a much better performing CPU than Motorola Edge 30. Both of them have the same RAM amount and a Octa-Core CPU. The Sony Xperia 5 III takes better photographs and videos than Motorola Edge 30, because although it has a back-facing camera with way less MP, it also counts with a larger camera aperture to capture better low light images and video.
The Xperia 5 III counts with a little longer battery performance than Motorola Edge 30, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity against 4020mAh.
