Xperia 5 is slightly better than the Motorola Edge 40 Neo, having an 81 score against 77. Although Xperia 5 is incredibly older and a little thicker than Motorola Edge 40 Neo, it's design is still just a little bit lighter. The Motorola Edge 40 Neo counts with a little more vivid screen than Sony Xperia 5, because although it has a bit worse resolution of 1080 x 2400px and a little less pixels per screen inch, it also counts with a little bit larger display.

Sony Xperia 5 counts with a really superior performance than Motorola Edge 40 Neo, although it has less RAM memory, they both have 8 cpu cores. The Motorola Edge 40 Neo captures much clearer videos and photos than Xperia 5, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture, and they both have the same 30 fps video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, the Motorola Edge 40 Neo also counts with a camera with a lot better 50 MP resolution and a much bigger back camera sensor capturing way better quality videos and pictures.

The Xperia 5 has a much better storage to install games and applications than Motorola Edge 40 Neo, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory, the Xperia 5 also has a SD memory card expansion slot that admits a maximum of 512 GB. Motorola Edge 40 Neo has a superior battery lifetime than Xperia 5, because it has a 5000mAh battery capacity instead of 3140mAh.
