Comparison review

Motorola Edge 40 Pro has an overall score of 83.4, which is a bit better than Motorola Moto Z4's score of 79.8. Both phones in this review use Android operating system, but Motorola Edge 40 Pro has 13 version while Motorola Moto Z4 has Android 10 version, giving a couple additional features and enhanced performance. Motorola Edge 40 Pro's design is noticeably newer than Motorola Moto Z4's, but it's somewhat heavier and thicker.

The Moto Z4 counts with a very superior hardware performance than Motorola Edge 40 Pro, although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, they both have a Octa-Core CPU. Motorola Edge 40 Pro has a little sharper screen than Moto Z4, because although it has a quite worse pixel count in each screen inch, it also counts with a quite better resolution of 1080 x 2400px and a little bit bigger display.

Moto Z4 features a slightly bigger storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Motorola Edge 40 Pro, because although it has less internal storage, it also counts with a slot for an SD memory card that supports up to 512 GB. Motorola Edge 40 Pro has a much better camera than Moto Z4, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not so good for shooting photos and/or video in low-light situations, it also counts with a much bigger back camera sensor providing a lot higher image quality, a much higher 7680x4320 video resolution and a back-facing camera with more megapixels.

The Motorola Edge 40 Pro features better battery lifetime than Moto Z4, because it has a 28% greater battery capacity.
