Huawei Mate X is much better than Motorola Edge 50, getting an 89.4 score against 81.2. The Huawei Mate X design is a lot older, thicker and extremely heavier than Motorola Edge 50. Both of these devices come with Android operating system, but Huawei Mate X has a newer 9.0 Pie version while Motorola Edge 50 has Android 14 version, so it counts with some nice extra features and some performance improvements.

Motorola Edge 50 has a bit superior battery performance than Huawei Mate X, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity. Motorola Edge 50 has a very superior camera than Huawei Mate X, and although they both have a same size diafragm aperture, the Motorola Edge 50 also has a camera in the back with a higher resolution and a bigger sensor which offers a better image and video quality.
