The Moto G 5G has a general score of 81.5, which is a bit better than Motorola Edge 50's general score of 81.2. Moto G 5G's construction is noticeably older, thicker and heavier than Motorola Edge 50. Both of these phones use Android operating system, but Moto G 5G has older 10 version and Motorola Edge 50 has Android 14 version.

Motorola Edge 50 counts with a much better screen than Motorola Moto G 5G, and although they both have a screen of the same size, the Motorola Edge 50 also has a just a little greater amount of pixels per inch in the screen and a slightly better 1220 x 2712 pixels resolution. Moto G 5G counts with a much greater hardware performance than Motorola Edge 50, although it has less RAM memory, they both have 8 processing cores.
