Comparison review
The Xperia 1 VI is a little bit better than the Motorola Edge 50, getting an 83.2 score against 81.2. Xperia 1 VI is a way thinner and notably lighter phone than Motorola Edge 50. These phones have the same Android 14 operating system. The Sony Xperia 1 VI has a CPU that's just as good as the CPU in Motorola Edge 50, and although the Sony Xperia 1 VI has a higher amount of RAM, they both have a Octa-Core CPU.
The Motorola Edge 50 features a sharper display than Xperia 1 VI, although it has a little smaller display, a lot lower display density and a way worse resolution of 1220 x 2712px. The Sony Xperia 1 VI has a lot bigger storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Motorola Edge 50, and although they both have exactly the same 256 GB internal storage capacity, the Sony Xperia 1 VI also has an external memory card slot that admits a maximum of 1 TB.
Xperia 1 VI's battery duration is just as good as Motorola Edge 50's battery life. The Sony Xperia 1 VI takes just a bit better photographs and videos than Motorola Edge 50, because although it has a smaller camera aperture, a lower 3840x2160 video quality and a less mega pixels camera in the back, it also counts with a bigger sensor which provides a better image and video quality.
