The Galaxy S4 has a global score of 77.3, which is much better than the Moto E's global score of 56.9. Although the Galaxy S4 is older than the Moto E, it's design is much thinner and just a bit lighter. These phones include Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy S4 has the older 4.4.2 version and Moto E has Android 4.4.4 version.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 features a better looking display than Motorola Moto E, because it has a much higher display density, a larger screen and a way better 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. The Galaxy S4 counts with a faster CPU than Moto E, and although they both have a 400 MHz graphics processor, the Galaxy S4 also has more cores and more RAM.

The Galaxy S4 features much more memory capacity for apps and games than Moto E, because it has a slot for an SD memory card that admits a maximum of 64 GB and 28 GB more internal storage capacity.
