LG K40 has a general score of 69.8, which is slightly better than the Moto E5's global score of 66. Both phones in this review have Android OS, but the LG K40 has a more recent 8.1 Oreo version and Moto E5 has Android 8.0 Oreo, so it provides a lot of extra features and performance tweaks. LG K40's body is newer, somewhat lighter and just a little bit thinner than the Moto E5.
The LG K40 has a slightly better looking screen than Motorola Moto E5. They have a better quantity of pixels per inch of display, a same size screen and an equal 720 x 1440 pixels resolution. LG K40 features a bit superior processor than Motorola Moto E5, and although they both have the same RAM amount, the LG K40 also has a higher number of cores.
LG K40 features a much bigger storage capacity for games and applications than Motorola Moto E5, and although they both have the same 16 GB internal storage capacity, the LG K40 also has a SD memory card expansion slot that holds up to 1,95 TB. The LG K40 shoots just a bit better photos and videos than Motorola Moto E5, and although they both have a back facing camera with an 8 MP, the same (Full HD) video quality, a F2 aperture and the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, the LG K40 also has a much larger back-facing camera sensor shooting way better quality videos and pictures.
The Motorola Moto E5 features improved battery duration than LG K40, because it has a 4000mAh battery capacity.
The LG K40 costs the same than Moto E5, which makes this phone a simple decision.
