The Motorola DROID MAXX 2 is a little bit better than the Moto E5, with a general score of 67.7 against 66. Both of these phones use Android OS, but the Motorola DROID MAXX 2 has the previous 5.1 version while Moto E5 has Android 8.0 Oreo. The Motorola DROID MAXX 2 is a much older and thicker device than the Moto E5, but Motorola was able to build it just a bit lighter anyway.
The Motorola Moto E5 features a little faster processing unit than Motorola DROID MAXX 2, and although they both have the same RAM memory amount, the Motorola Moto E5 also has a higher number of cores. The Motorola DROID MAXX 2 captures much better photos and videos than Moto E5, and although they both have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality, the same video frame rates and the same aperture, the Motorola DROID MAXX 2 also has a way better 21 MP resolution camera in the back. The Motorola DROID MAXX 2 has as much storage capacity for apps and games as the Moto E5 one, both have the same 16 GB internal storage capacity and a SD card slot that supports a maximum of 128 GB.
The Moto E5 features a bit better battery life than Motorola DROID MAXX 2, because it has a 10% more battery size.
