Galaxy S4 has a global score of 78.2, which is much better than the Motorola Moto G's global score of 61.2. These devices use Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy S4 has the previous 4.4.2 version and Motorola Moto G has Android 5.0 version. Even though Galaxy S4 and the Motorola Moto G were only released with a couple of months difference, Galaxy S4 is a little lighter and extremely thinner.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 counts with a better performing CPU than Moto G, and although they both have a Quad-Core CPU and a 450 megahertz graphics processor, the Samsung Galaxy S4 also has 1 GB more RAM memory.
