Motorola Moto G 5G Plus is just a bit better than the Galaxy A8 Star, with an 82.6 score against 82.1. Even though the Motorola Moto G 5G Plus is newer than Galaxy A8 Star, it's somewhat thicker and just a bit heavier. Galaxy A8 Star's processing unit is very similar to Moto G 5G Plus's CPU, and although the Galaxy A8 Star has more RAM memory, they both have the same number of cores.

Moto G 5G Plus features a little sharper screen than Galaxy A8 Star, because it has a little larger display, a bit higher 1080 x 2520 resolution and a just a little higher screen density. Moto G 5G Plus counts with a superior camera than Galaxy A8 Star, and although they both have the same video frame rate, the same aperture and the same video quality, the Moto G 5G Plus also has a way bigger back-facing camera sensor taking lot higher quality photos and videos and a back-facing camera with a much better 48 MP resolution.

The Moto G 5G Plus features a quite bigger storage capacity to store more games and applications than Galaxy A8 Star, and although they both have equal internal storage, the Moto G 5G Plus also has a SD memory card expansion slot that supports up to 1000 GB. Motorola Moto G 5G Plus counts with better battery lifetime than Galaxy A8 Star, because it has a 35 percent larger battery size.
