The Motorola Moto G 5G Plus has a global score of 82.6, which is slightly better than the Xperia 5's score of 81. Although Motorola Moto G 5G Plus is newer than Xperia 5, it is much heavier and a little thicker. The Sony Xperia 5 has a little more vivid display than Moto G 5G Plus, because although it has a little smaller screen, and they both have the same exact 1080 x 2520 resolution, the Sony Xperia 5 also counts with a just a bit greater pixels density.

The Xperia 5 counts with just a bit more storage capacity for games and applications than Moto G 5G Plus, because although it has an external memory slot that holds up to 512 GB against 1000 GB, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage capacity. Xperia 5 features a bit more powerful processor than Motorola Moto G 5G Plus, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Xperia 5 also has a greater amount of RAM memory.
