The Moto G Stylus has an overall score of 79.7, which is slightly better than Moto Z2 Play's 77.4 global score. Moto G Stylus is a much newer device than Moto Z2 Play, although it is a lot heavier and much thicker. The Motorola Moto Z2 Play features a little better performance than Motorola Moto G Stylus. Both have 4 GB of RAM and the same number of cores.

Moto G Stylus and Motorola Moto Z2 Play have very similar screens, because although the Motorola Moto Z2 Play has a bit worse resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a just a little higher pixels density. The Moto Z2 Play counts with a little bit better storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Moto G Stylus, because although it has 0 less internal memory, it also counts with an external memory card slot that holds a maximum of 1,95 TB.

Motorola Moto G Stylus counts with longer battery lifetime than Motorola Moto Z2 Play, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity against 3000mAh. Moto G Stylus features a greater camera than Moto Z2 Play, and although they both have a F1.7 camera aperture, the same (4K) video resolution and the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, the Moto G Stylus also has a camera with a lot higher 48 megapixels resolution.

Although Motorola Moto G Stylus is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Moto Z2 Play, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Moto Z2 Play. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can buy Moto Z2 Play, and give up some specs and features, but you'll get the most out of your savings.
