Galaxy A8 Star has a general score of 82.1, which is just a bit better than the Moto G31's overall score of 77. These phones work with Android OS, but Galaxy A8 Star has newer 9.0 Pie version and Moto G31 has Android 11 version. Galaxy A8 Star is a incredibly older and just a little heavier cellphone than Moto G31, but Samsung was able to build it somewhat thinner anyway.

The Moto G31 features a bit sharper screen than Galaxy A8 Star, because it has a bit larger screen, a quite higher screen pixels density and a quite better resolution of 1080 x 2400px. Samsung Galaxy A8 Star counts with a bit faster CPU than Motorola Moto G31, and although they both have 8 processing cores, the Samsung Galaxy A8 Star also has a larger amount of RAM memory.

The Moto G31 features more storage to install games and applications than Galaxy A8 Star, and although they both have equal internal memory, the Moto G31 also has a SD memory card expansion slot that admits up to 1 TB.
