The Sony Xperia XZ1 is just a bit better than the Motorola Moto G4 Plus, with a 78.3 score against 72.1. Sony Xperia XZ1 is a newer and incredibly thinner cellphone than the Motorola Moto G4 Plus, but it's also a little heavier. The Xperia XZ1 counts with a little sharper display than Moto G4 Plus, because although it has a quite smaller display, and they both have the same 1080 x 1920 resolution, the Xperia XZ1 also counts with a little better pixel density.

The Sony Xperia XZ1 has a lot bigger storage to install games and applications than Motorola Moto G4 Plus, and although they both have the same internal storage capacity, the Sony Xperia XZ1 also has a SD extension slot that admits a maximum of 1,95 TB. Sony Xperia XZ1 features a little faster CPU than Moto G4 Plus. Both of them have a Octa-Core processor and 4 GB of RAM.

Xperia XZ1 captures much clearer photographs and videos than Moto G4 Plus, and although they both have a same size diafragm aperture, the Xperia XZ1 also has a more mega pixels back facing camera and a lot higher 3840x2160 video resolution. Motorola Moto G4 Plus counts with just a little better battery duration than Xperia XZ1, because it has 3000mAh of battery capacity against 2700mAh.

Although Sony Xperia XZ1 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Motorola Moto G4 Plus, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Motorola Moto G4 Plus. If you are trying to save some money, you can get Motorola Moto G4 Plus, and give up some specs and features, but you will get the most out of your money.
