IPhone 8 is better than Moto G5 Plus, with a general score of 85 against 74.6. IPhone 8 is a a little bit lighter and way thinner phone than the Moto G5 Plus, even when they were released only 6 months apart. IPhone 8 counts with a little sharper display than Moto G5 Plus, although it has a way worse resolution of 750 x 1334, a little smaller display and a quite worse pixel count per display inch. Apple iPhone 8 captures a little bit better photos and videos than Moto G5 Plus, because although it has a tinier sensor capturing worse quality images and videos and a tinier aperture which is not good for shooting pictures and videos in low light situations, and they both have a back-facing camera with a 12 mega-pixels and the same video definition, the Apple iPhone 8 also counts with better 60 fps video frame rate.

The iPhone 8 has a very superior memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Motorola Moto G5 Plus, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with more internal storage. Although iPhone 8 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Moto G5 Plus, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Moto G5 Plus. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the iPhone 8, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and get the Moto G5 Plus, letting go a couple specifications.
