Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro is better than the Motorola Moto G5 Plus, getting a global score of 84.2 against 74.6. Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro's design is extremely newer and a little thinner than Motorola Moto G5 Plus's, although it's much heavier. Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro features a brighter display than Motorola Moto G5 Plus, because although it has a little bit lower display pixel density, it also counts with a bit higher 1080 x 2400 resolution and a much bigger display.
The Motorola Moto G5 Plus features a much greater hardware performance than Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro, although it has 12 GB less RAM, they both have 8 CPU cores. The Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro shoots way better videos and photos than Motorola Moto G5 Plus, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not good for low-light photography and videos, it also counts with a camera with a way better 50 mega pixels resolution, a way larger back-facing camera sensor providing a much better image quality and a lot higher video quality.
The Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro has a lot bigger memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Motorola Moto G5 Plus, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with 512 GB internal storage capacity.
