Google Nexus 5 is slightly better than Moto G5 Plus, having a overall score of 76 against 74.6. Although the Google Nexus 5 is extremely older than Moto G5 Plus, it's construction is thinner and somewhat lighter. The Google Nexus 5 has a little better processing power than Moto G5 Plus, because although it has a lower number of cores and 2 GB less RAM, it also counts with an additional graphics processing unit.

The Google Nexus 5 has a much better looking display than Moto G5 Plus, because although it has a bit smaller screen, and they both have an equal resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, the Google Nexus 5 also counts with a bit better amount of pixels per screen inch. The Motorola Moto G5 Plus captures much better photos and videos than Google Nexus 5, because it has a much bigger diafragm aperture to take better low-light photography and video, a camera in the back with much more mega pixels, a way larger camera sensor providing a lot better image quality and a lot better 3840x2160 (4K) video quality.

The Moto G5 Plus counts with a superior memory capacity to store more games and applications than Google Nexus 5, because it has a SD card slot that allows a maximum of 128 GB and more internal storage. Moto G5 Plus counts with longer battery life than Google Nexus 5, because it has a 30 percent greater battery capacity.

Although Google Nexus 5 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Moto G5 Plus, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Moto G5 Plus. If you want to save some dollars, you can buy Moto G5 Plus, giving up a few specs and features, but you will get the most with your savings.
