Comparison review

The Google Pixel XL has a global score of 81.3, which is a bit better than Moto G5 Plus's score of 74.6. Even though the Google Pixel XL and Moto G5 Plus were released with only a couple of months difference, the Google Pixel XL body is a bit heavier but also thinner. The Google Pixel XL features a little bit better looking display than Moto G5 Plus, because it has a higher pixels quantity in each inch in the screen, a higher 1440 x 2560 resolution and a little bigger screen.

Google Pixel XL has just a bit bigger storage for apps and games than Moto G5 Plus, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with more internal memory. The Moto G5 Plus counts with a bit faster processor than Google Pixel XL, and although they both have 4 GB of RAM, the Moto G5 Plus also has a greater number of cores (although they are slower).

Google Pixel XL counts with a bit better battery lifetime than Moto G5 Plus, because it has a 15 percent bigger battery capacity. Google Pixel XL counts with just a bit better camera than Motorola Moto G5 Plus, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not favorable for low light photography and videos, and they both have the same (4K) video definition and the same 30 fps video frame rates, the Google Pixel XL also counts with a better resolution camera in the back and a larger sensor capturing higher quality videos and photos.

Although Google Pixel XL is a better device, it costs a lot more than Moto G5 Plus, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Moto G5 Plus. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the Google Pixel XL, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Moto G5 Plus, letting go some features and specifications.
