Comparison review

Xperia 5 has a score of 81, which is a bit better than the Moto G5 Plus's 74.6 general score. Although the Xperia 5 is just a little heavier than the Moto G5 Plus, it's somewhat thinner and way newer. The Xperia 5 has just a little better performance than Moto G5 Plus, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Xperia 5 also has a larger amount of RAM memory.

Xperia 5 has a little bit better screen than Motorola Moto G5 Plus, because it has a bigger screen, a quite higher pixels density and a little higher resolution of 1080 x 2520px. Sony Xperia 5 counts with just a bit better camera than Moto G5 Plus, because although it has a smaller back camera sensor, and they both have the same video frame rate, a 12 megapixels resolution back facing camera and the same 3840x2160 video definition, the Sony Xperia 5 also counts with a bigger diafragm aperture.

Xperia 5 features a lot bigger memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Motorola Moto G5 Plus, because it has a SD extension slot that holds a maximum of 512 GB and 128 GB internal storage capacity. The Sony Xperia 5 has a bit superior battery performance than Moto G5 Plus, because it has a 3140mAh battery capacity instead of 3000mAh.

Although Xperia 5 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Moto G5 Plus, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Moto G5 Plus. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can get Moto G5 Plus, giving up a couple features, but you will get the most out of your budget.
