Comparison review

Xperia XZ1 has a score of 78.3, which is a bit better than Motorola Moto G5 Plus's overall score of 74.6. The Xperia XZ1 construction is notably thinner but a bit heavier than Motorola Moto G5 Plus, and both of them were released only 6 months apart. The Xperia XZ1 counts with a bit superior processor than Motorola Moto G5 Plus. They have the same number of cores and 4 GB of RAM memory.

The Sony Xperia XZ1 features just a bit better display than Moto G5 Plus. Both of them have the same pixel density, a display with the same size and an equal resolution of 1080 x 1920px. Sony Xperia XZ1 counts with a much bigger storage for apps and games than Moto G5 Plus, and although they both have exactly the same 64 GB internal memory capacity, the Sony Xperia XZ1 also has an external memory card slot that supports up to 1,95 TB.

Xperia XZ1 captures a little bit better photographs and videos than Motorola Moto G5 Plus, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture, and they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 video quality, the Xperia XZ1 also counts with a bigger sensor taking better quality videos and photographs and a much more MP camera.

The Moto G5 Plus features just a little better battery lifetime than Xperia XZ1, because it has an 11 percent greater battery capacity.

Although Sony Xperia XZ1 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Moto G5 Plus, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Moto G5 Plus. If you want to save some money, you can get Moto G5 Plus, giving up a few specs and features, but you will get the most out of your budget.
