Comparison review
Sony Xperia XZ3 is a little bit better than the Moto G5 Plus, with a global score of 79.6 against 74.6. Sony Xperia XZ3's construction is newer than Moto G5 Plus's, but it's just a little bit thicker and heavier. The Xperia XZ3 counts with a sharper screen than Motorola Moto G5 Plus, because it has a larger display, a way better resolution of 1440 x 2880 and a higher pixels density.
The Xperia XZ3 has a bit superior processor than Motorola Moto G5 Plus. Both have the same RAM memory amount and 8 processing cores. The Xperia XZ3 captures just a bit better videos and photos than Motorola Moto G5 Plus, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not so good for low light images and video, and they both have the same 30 fps video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 video quality, the Xperia XZ3 also counts with a much better resolution camera and a larger back-facing camera sensor which gives a higher photo and video quality.

Xperia XZ3 counts with a bit better battery life than Motorola Moto G5 Plus, because it has an 11 percent more battery size.
Although Sony Xperia XZ3 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Moto G5 Plus, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Moto G5 Plus. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can get the Moto G5 Plus, giving up a few specs and features, but you'll get the most with your savings.
