Comparison review
The Xiaomi Mi 5s is a bit better than Moto G5 Plus, getting a 76.4 score against 74.6. The Xiaomi Mi 5s body is just a little lighter and thinner than Moto G5 Plus, even when both of them were released with only a couple of months difference. Xiaomi Mi 5s features a bit sharper screen than Moto G5 Plus. They have the same quantity of pixels in each inch in the display, exactly the same resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and a display of the same size.
Xiaomi Mi 5s counts with a bit bigger memory capacity to store more apps and games than Moto G5 Plus, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with more internal memory capacity. Moto G5 Plus has a bit better CPU than Xiaomi Mi 5s, and although they both have 4 GB of RAM memory, the Moto G5 Plus also has 4 more cores.
The Xiaomi Mi 5s counts with a slightly better camera than Motorola Moto G5 Plus, because although it has a smaller camera aperture, and they both have the same 30 fps video frame rate, a same resolution back facing camera and the same (4K) video definition, the Xiaomi Mi 5s also counts with a bigger back camera sensor providing a better image quality.
Xiaomi Mi 5s has just a bit longer battery performance than Motorola Moto G5 Plus, because it has a 3200mAh battery size instead of 3000mAh.
Although Xiaomi Mi 5s is a better device, it costs a lot more than Moto G5 Plus, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Moto G5 Plus. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can get the Moto G5 Plus, giving up a few specs and features, but you'll get the most out of your savings.
