The Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus is a little bit better than the Moto G53, getting a general score of 78.1 against 72. Both phones in this review include Android operating system, but Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus has a more recent 6.0 Marshmallow version while Moto G53 has Android 13 version, so it gives a couple nice extra features and some performance improvements. Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus is an notably older device than the Moto G53, but it is just a bit thinner and just a little lighter anyway.
The Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus counts with a more vivid screen than Moto G53, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a higher display density, a brighter screen and a higher resolution of 1080 x 1920px. The Motorola Moto G53 counts with much more memory for games and applications than Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage capacity, the Motorola Moto G53 also has a slot for SD memory cards that holds a maximum of 1 TB.
Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus counts with a way better processing power than Motorola Moto G53, because although it has 4 less processing cores (but faster), it also counts with a higher amount of RAM. The Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus takes slightly better pictures and videos than Motorola Moto G53, although it has a lot less megapixels resolution back-facing camera and a tinier aperture which is not favorable for capturing pictures and/or video in low light situations.
Motorola Moto G53 has improved battery duration than Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus, because it has a 32% bigger battery size.
