Comparison review
The Xperia XZ1 has a score of 78.3, which is a bit better than the Moto G6 Plus's overall score of 77.5. Even though the Xperia XZ1 and the Moto G6 Plus were released only 7 months apart, the Xperia XZ1 is just a little bit thinner and a bit lighter. The Sony Xperia XZ1 features a slightly better looking screen than Motorola Moto G6 Plus, because although it has a little smaller screen and a quite lower resolution of 1080 x 1920px, it also counts with a little bit better quantity of pixels per inch of display.
Sony Xperia XZ1 features much more storage capacity to install games and applications than Moto G6 Plus, and although they both have exactly the same 64 GB internal memory capacity, the Sony Xperia XZ1 also has a SD extension slot that supports a maximum of 1,95 TB. The Sony Xperia XZ1 features a bit superior CPU than Moto G6 Plus, although it has a lower amount of RAM, they both have 8 processing cores.
Motorola Moto G6 Plus features greater battery lifetime than Xperia XZ1, because it has a 19% bigger battery capacity. Sony Xperia XZ1 has just a bit better camera than Moto G6 Plus, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not good for capturing pictures and/or video in low-light environments, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution and the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, the Sony Xperia XZ1 also counts with a larger back camera sensor providing a better image quality and a much more megapixels camera.
