Comparison review
Xperia 5 is better than the Moto G6, getting a score of 81 against 72.1. Xperia 5 is a newer cellphone, and it is also a little lighter and a bit thinner than Moto G6. The Sony Xperia 5 has just a bit better performance than Moto G6, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Sony Xperia 5 also has a higher amount of RAM.
Xperia 5 features a bit sharper screen than Moto G6, because it has a quite larger display, a slightly higher resolution of 1080 x 2520 and a bit greater display density. Moto G6 and Xperia 5 count with incredibly similar cameras, because although the Xperia 5 has a smaller back camera sensor providing a worse image quality, and they both have a same resolution back facing camera, the same video quality and the same 30 fps video frame rate, it also counts with a bigger aperture to capture better captures in low light environments.
The Sony Xperia 5 has a much greater memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Moto G6, because it has an external memory card slot that admits up to 512 GB and more internal storage capacity. The Sony Xperia 5 features a little longer battery performance than Moto G6, because it has 3140mAh of battery capacity.
Although Sony Xperia 5 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Moto G6, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Moto G6. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy the Sony Xperia 5, otherwise you can save some money and get the Moto G6, resigning a couple features and specifications.
