Comparison review

The Xperia 5 is much better than the Moto G7 Power, getting a global score of 81 against 72.6. The Xperia 5 design is thinner and somewhat lighter than Moto G7 Power, even when both were only released 8 months apart. Xperia 5 has a bit superior processing unit than Moto G7 Power, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Xperia 5 also has more RAM.

The Xperia 5 counts with a much better screen than Moto G7 Power, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a lot higher resolution of 1080 x 2520px and a much better screen density. Sony Xperia 5 has just a bit better camera than Moto G7 Power, and although they both have the same resolution back-facing camera, the same video frame rate and the same (4K) video resolution, the Sony Xperia 5 also has a bigger sensor taking higher quality videos and photos and a bigger aperture for better photos in poorly lited environments.

Sony Xperia 5 has much more memory capacity to install applications and games than Moto G7 Power, and although they both have an external SD slot that admits a maximum of 512 GB, the Sony Xperia 5 also has 96 GB more internal storage capacity. Motorola Moto G7 Power has a really longer battery duration than Sony Xperia 5, because it has a 59 percent bigger battery capacity.

Although Sony Xperia 5 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Moto G7 Power, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Moto G7 Power. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy Sony Xperia 5, but if you don't you can save some dollars and buy the Moto G7 Power, letting go a couple features and specs.
