The Galaxy Note9 has an overall score of 87.1, which is much better than Moto G8 Plus's 77.6 score. Galaxy Note9's body is a little thinner than Moto G8 Plus, although it's a little bit heavier and was released about 14 months before. The Galaxy Note9 features a bit sharper screen than Motorola Moto G8 Plus, because it has a higher pixels density, a better 1440 x 2960 pixels resolution and a little bit bigger display.

The Galaxy Note9 features a very superior memory capacity for games and applications than Motorola Moto G8 Plus, and although they both have a slot for SD memory cards that holds a maximum of 512 GB, the Galaxy Note9 also has 128 GB internal storage capacity. The Samsung Galaxy Note9 features a bit better processor than Moto G8 Plus, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Samsung Galaxy Note9 also has a larger amount of RAM.

Moto G8 Plus and Galaxy Note9 both have quite similar batteries duration. The Moto G8 Plus features a superior camera than Galaxy Note9, because although it has lower 30 fps video frame rates and a smaller aperture which is not nice for capturing photographs and videos in low-light environments, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video quality, the Moto G8 Plus also counts with a back-facing camera with a way better resolution and a lot bigger back-facing camera sensor shooting way better quality videos and photographs.
