Comparison review
The Huawei P20 has a general score of 78.1, which is a little bit better than the Moto G8's 74.4 score. These devices work with Android OS, but Huawei P20 has a more recent 9.0 Pie version and Moto G8 has Android 10 version. The Huawei P20 design is somewhat lighter and somewhat thinner than the Moto G8, even though it was released only 23 months before.
The Huawei P20 counts with a little better processing power than Moto G8. They have the same number of cores and the same RAM memory amount. Huawei P20 has a better looking screen than Motorola Moto G8, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a lot greater pixels density and a much higher resolution of 1080 x 2244.
Moto G8 features a bigger storage for games and applications than Huawei P20, because although it has only 64 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with a SD memory card expansion slot that allows a maximum of 512 GB. The Moto G8 counts with greater battery duration than Huawei P20, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity.
Huawei P20 captures just a bit better pictures and videos than Moto G8, although it has a lower 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, a smaller aperture and a back-facing camera with a lot lower 12 mega pixels resolution.
Huawei P20 costs more than Moto G8, but you can get a better phone for that few extra dollars.
