Comparison review

The Xperia 5 has a general score of 81, which is a little bit better than Moto G8's general score of 74.4. The Xperia 5 is a a little bit thinner and somewhat lighter phone than Moto G8, even though both were only released 5 months apart. Sony Xperia 5 counts with a little better hardware performance than Motorola Moto G8, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Sony Xperia 5 also has a larger amount of RAM memory.

The Xperia 5 features a much better screen than Motorola Moto G8, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a way better number of pixels per screen inch and a way higher 1080 x 2520 resolution. The Sony Xperia 5 and Motorola Moto G8 count with very similar cameras, because although the Sony Xperia 5 has a worse 3840x2160 video resolution and a back facing camera with much less mega pixels resolution, it also counts with a larger diafragm aperture to take better photography and videos in low-light environments.

Xperia 5 features a much bigger memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Moto G8, and although they both have a SD memory slot that allows up to 512 GB, the Xperia 5 also has 128 GB internal memory. Moto G8 has superior battery life than Sony Xperia 5, because it has a 4000mAh battery size against 3140mAh.

Although Xperia 5 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Moto G8, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Moto G8. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can get Moto G8, letting go a few specs and features, but you'll get the most out of your savings.
