Xperia 5 is a bit better than Motorola Moto G9 Play, with a score of 81 against 76.7. Xperia 5 is an older phone than Motorola Moto G9 Play, but Sony managed to make it somewhat thinner and somewhat lighter anyway. Xperia 5 has a bit superior CPU than Moto G9 Play, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Xperia 5 also has a greater amount of RAM.

The Xperia 5 counts with a better looking screen than Moto G9 Play, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a way higher pixel density and a way better 1080 x 2520 resolution. Motorola Moto G9 Play has a superior camera than Xperia 5, because although it has a smaller aperture which is worse for taking photographs in low-light environments, and they both have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality, the Motorola Moto G9 Play also counts with a lot better resolution camera in the back, higher 60 fps video frame rates and a lot bigger sensor.

The Sony Xperia 5 counts with a much bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Motorola Moto G9 Play, and although they both have a SD memory slot that allows up to 512 GB, the Sony Xperia 5 also has 128 GB internal storage capacity. The Moto G9 Play has a really longer battery life than Xperia 5, because it has a 59% greater battery size.
