Although the Xperia 5 is newer than the Motorola Moto M, it is just a little bit thicker and just a little bit heavier. Sony Xperia 5 has a little sharper display than Moto M, because it has a slightly higher 1080 x 2520 resolution, a little bit bigger screen and a bit higher display pixels density.

The Xperia 5 has a little better hardware performance than Moto M, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Xperia 5 also has 2 GB more RAM memory.
