The Motorola Edge 50 has an overall score of 81.2, which is better than Motorola Moto X (2014)'s global score of 73.4. These phones come with Android OS, but Motorola Edge 50 has a newer 14 version and Motorola Moto X (2014) has Android 5.0 version, counting with a couple additional features. Although Motorola Edge 50 is heavier than the Motorola Moto X (2014), it's thinner and way newer.

Moto X (2014) has a much better processing power than Motorola Edge 50, because although it has lesser RAM memory and an inferior number of cores (but faster), it also counts with an extra graphics processing unit. The Motorola Edge 50 features a bit better looking display than Moto X (2014), because it has a better 1220 x 2712px resolution, a larger screen and a quite better pixel density.

The Motorola Edge 50 takes a lot better videos and photos than Moto X (2014), and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the Motorola Edge 50 also has a bigger diafragm aperture for better images in low light situations, a much bigger back camera sensor which gives a much higher photo and video quality and a back camera with a way better 50 mega pixels resolution.

Motorola Edge 50 has a much bigger storage to store more games and applications than Motorola Moto X (2014), because it has 224 GB more internal storage capacity. The Motorola Edge 50 has a much longer battery lifetime than Moto X (2014), because it has a 5000mAh battery capacity.
