OnePlus 8's construction is much newer and noticeably thinner, but heavier than Moto X (2014). The OnePlus 8 features a little faster CPU than Moto X (2014), because although it has doesn't have an additional GPU, it also counts with more RAM and a larger number of cores.
The Moto X (2014) counts with a slightly better display than OnePlus 8, because although it has a really smaller screen and a bit worse resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, it also counts with a little bit higher pixel density. OnePlus 8 counts with a much bigger memory for games and applications than Moto X (2014), because it has 128 GB internal memory.
The OnePlus 8 has a lot better camera than Moto X (2014), and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the OnePlus 8 also has a back camera with much more megapixels, a much bigger sensor which offers a way better image and video quality, better video frame rates and a bigger aperture to take better captures and video in low light situations.

The OnePlus 8 costs a little more than the Moto X (2014), but it's still a great deal, as you can get a much better phone for that extra money.
