Galaxy A12 has a global score of 80.3, which is a little bit better than the Moto X (2014)'s score of 73.4. Galaxy A12's design is incredibly newer and somewhat thinner than the Moto X (2014)'s, although it is heavier. Both of these phones come with Android OS (Operating System), but the Galaxy A12 has the newer 10 version and Moto X (2014) has Android 5.0, offering a couple nice extra features and performance tweaks.

The Motorola Moto X (2014) has a much sharper screen than Galaxy A12, because although it has a much smaller screen, it also counts with a better 1920 x 1080px resolution and way more pixels per inch in the screen. Moto X (2014) has a bit faster CPU than Samsung Galaxy A12, because although it has less CPU cores and a smaller amount of RAM, it also counts with an additional GPU.

The Galaxy A12 captures a little bit better photographs and videos than Moto X (2014), and although they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rate and the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality, the Galaxy A12 also has a larger camera aperture and a lot better 48 mega-pixels resolution back camera.

The Samsung Galaxy A12 counts with a very superior storage capacity to store more games and applications than Moto X (2014), because it has an external memory slot that allows up to 1 TB and more internal memory capacity. The Samsung Galaxy A12 has a superior battery performance than Motorola Moto X (2014), because it has a 5000mAh battery size.
