The Sony Xperia XZ3 is a little bit better than Motorola Moto X (2014), having a global score of 79.6 against 73.4. Sony Xperia XZ3 is a a lot heavier cellphone than Motorola Moto X (2014), but both are 0.39inches thick. Both phones in this comparison review use Android operating system, but the Sony Xperia XZ3 has newer 9.0 Pie version and Motorola Moto X (2014) has Android 5.0 version, so it gives you a couple nice extra features and better performance.

Xperia XZ3 features a bit better processing power than Moto X (2014), because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics co-processor, it also counts with more CPU cores and a larger amount of RAM memory. The Xperia XZ3 features a little sharper display than Moto X (2014), because it has a much higher 1440 x 2880px resolution, a bigger screen and a better amount of pixels per inch in the display.

Xperia XZ3 features a superior camera than Motorola Moto X (2014), and although they both have the same video definition and the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, the Xperia XZ3 also has a camera in the back with lot more megapixels, a bigger camera aperture to capture better captures in poorly lited environments and a way bigger camera sensor capturing much better quality photos and videos.

The Sony Xperia XZ3 features a superior storage capacity for games and applications than Moto X (2014), because it has 32 GB more internal storage and an external memory slot that supports up to 512 GB. The Sony Xperia XZ3 features a way better battery duration than Moto X (2014), because it has a 3330mAh battery capacity.

Although Sony Xperia XZ3 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Moto X (2014), and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Moto X (2014). So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the Sony Xperia XZ3, else you can save some dollars and get the Moto X (2014), letting go a couple specifications.
