LG Velvet is much better than Moto X (2014), getting a global score of 87.1 against 73.4. LG Velvet's design is extremely newer and much thinner than Moto X (2014)'s, but it is heavier. The LG Velvet and Moto X (2014) count with very similar CPUs, because although the LG Velvet has doesn't have an extra graphics processor, it also counts with a larger amount of RAM and more cores.

Moto X (2014) features a sharper display than LG Velvet, because although it has a really smaller screen and a quite lower resolution of 1920 x 1080px, it also counts with a bit greater count of pixels in each inch in the display. The LG Velvet features a way better camera than Moto X (2014), and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same (4K) video resolution, the LG Velvet also has a larger aperture for better photography and video in low-light situations, a camera with a lot better 48 mega pixels resolution and a much bigger camera sensor.

LG Velvet counts with a superior memory for games and applications than Moto X (2014), because it has an external memory slot that supports a maximum of 1,95 TB and 128 GB internal memory. The LG Velvet has a very superior battery life than Moto X (2014), because it has an 87 percent bigger battery size.

Even being the best phone of the ones in this comparison, LG Velvet is also the cheapest one, making this phone an easy choice.
