Motorola Edge 50 is a little bit better than Motorola Moto Z Droid Edition, getting a global score of 81.2 against 75.6. Both phones in this review come with Android operating system, but Motorola Edge 50 has the previous 14 version and Motorola Moto Z Droid Edition has Android 7.1 Nougat. Motorola Edge 50's design is noticeably newer, but a lot heavier and thicker than the Motorola Moto Z Droid Edition.
The Moto Z Droid Edition has an extremely better processor than Motorola Edge 50, although it has 4 GB lesser RAM and lesser cpu cores (although they are faster). The Motorola Edge 50 counts with a slightly better looking screen than Moto Z Droid Edition, because although it has a bit worse resolution of 1220 x 2712 and a little bit less pixels per inch of display, it also counts with a larger display.
The Motorola Edge 50 takes way better photographs and videos than Motorola Moto Z Droid Edition, and although they both have a F1.8 camera aperture, the same 3840x2160 video definition and the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, the Motorola Edge 50 also has a camera in the back with a lot higher 50 megapixels resolution.
The Motorola Moto Z Droid Edition has a better storage capacity for games and applications than Motorola Edge 50, because although it has 0 less internal memory capacity, it also counts with a slot for an SD memory card that allows a maximum of 1,95 TB. Motorola Edge 50 counts with a much longer battery performance than Moto Z Droid Edition, because it has a 92 percent more battery size.
