Galaxy M31 has a score of 86.5, which is much better than Motorola Moto Z Droid Edition's 75.6 global score. Even though the Galaxy M31 is noticeably newer than Motorola Moto Z Droid Edition, it's way thicker and incredibly heavier. Both phones in this review include Android OS (Operating System), but the Galaxy M31 has the previous 11 version and Motorola Moto Z Droid Edition has Android 7.1 Nougat.
The Motorola Moto Z Droid Edition counts with a bit more vivid screen than Samsung Galaxy M31, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a better 1440 x 2560 resolution and a greater pixel count per screen inch. The Galaxy M31 has a bit faster processing unit than Moto Z Droid Edition, because it has 4 more CPU cores and more RAM.
The Samsung Galaxy M31 has a way better camera than Motorola Moto Z Droid Edition, and although they both have the same video frame rates, a F1.8 diafragm aperture and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the Samsung Galaxy M31 also has a back camera with way more MP. Moto Z Droid Edition has a much bigger memory for games and applications than Galaxy M31, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage, the Moto Z Droid Edition also has a SD extension slot that admits up to 1,95 TB.
Galaxy M31 counts with a much longer battery performance than Moto Z Droid Edition, because it has a 6000mAh battery capacity instead of 2600mAh.
