Sony Xperia XZ1 is just a bit better than the Moto Z Droid Edition, having a general score of 78.3 against 75.6. The Sony Xperia XZ1 body is newer than Moto Z Droid Edition's, but it's heavier and way thicker. Sony Xperia XZ1 features a bit faster processor than Motorola Moto Z Droid Edition, and although they both have 4 GB of RAM memory, the Sony Xperia XZ1 also has a higher number of cores (and faster).
The Moto Z Droid Edition counts with a bit better display than Xperia XZ1, because it has a higher 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution, a greater pixel amount in each inch in the display and a quite larger display. The Sony Xperia XZ1's storage capacity for games and applications is very similar to the Moto Z Droid Edition one, they have a SD card slot that allows a maximum of 1,95 TB and exactly the same internal storage.
Xperia XZ1 has just a bit better battery life than Moto Z Droid Edition, because it has a 2700mAh battery size instead of 2600mAh. Sony Xperia XZ1 captures just a bit better photographs and videos than Moto Z Droid Edition, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not so good for taking photographs and/or video in low-light situations, and they both have the same video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, the Sony Xperia XZ1 also counts with a back camera with a much better 19 mega pixels resolution.
