Comparison review

The Huawei Mate 8 has a global score of 77.4, which is a bit better than the Motorola Moto Z Play's global score of 74.4. Even being the best phone in this review, we must note that it is also an older, a bit thicker and heavier phone. The Motorola Moto Z Play features a slightly better display than Huawei Mate 8, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, and they both have exactly the same 1080 x 1920 resolution, the Motorola Moto Z Play also counts with a little bit more pixels per inch of screen.

Huawei Mate 8 features a bit superior processing unit than Motorola Moto Z Play, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Huawei Mate 8 also has 1 GB more RAM. Motorola Moto Z Play counts with a bit more storage capacity for games and applications than Huawei Mate 8, because although it has just 32 GB internal storage, it also counts with a SD memory card expansion slot that holds up to 1,95 TB.

The Huawei Mate 8 counts with just a little bit longer battery lifetime than Moto Z Play, because it has a 4000mAh battery size. Moto Z Play features a little bit better camera than Huawei Mate 8, and although they both have a 16 mega pixels back camera and a same size camera aperture, the Moto Z Play also has a much higher video definition.

Although Huawei Mate 8 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Motorola Moto Z Play, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Motorola Moto Z Play. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can buy Motorola Moto Z Play, giving up some specs and features, but you'll get the most out of your savings.
